Scenarios
The Anchor Compound 2026-05-09 · Fictional: the Old Hall compound, Garampo inner-harbour old town · Small-unit actions · Fictional situation
Terrain map Your role You lead 1st Platoon: three rifle squads, two machine guns, an attached recoilless rifle and two tanks, sent to seize the Old Hall compound in the old town on the Garampo inner harbour. The situation is fictional; the enemy is a fictional "Grey force" without national markings. The compound is a protected modern-era heritage site and residents remain nearby, so fire is tightly restricted.
Higher commander's intent Seize the compound so the Grey force cannot use the inner-harbour pier, and hand it to company by 1200 with the main hall preserved.
Situation Enemy: a Grey squad (estimated 10–12) moved into the Old Hall compound, Objective ANCHOR, on the night of D+1. One machine gun is seen on the vault block's upper floor and a team of three or four in the red-brick store to the east, Objective SAIL. A small boat comes to the north pier each night, and the quay road east is open. Friendly: company is securing the south of the harbour district; a local guard platoon (partner unit) holds the west block; a tank section of two tanks is attached. Civilians: most residents have moved to the shelter to the south-east, but some remain. Terrain and weather: the compound lies north of the four-lane Gaetmaru-ro and south of the inner-harbour quays; south of the road are a school and an empty car park. Clear, wind west-north-west 3 metres a second, light about 0600.
Mission 1st Platoon seizes and secures the Old Hall compound (Objective ANCHOR) by 1200 and hands it over to company with the main hall preserved.
