Siege of the Walled Residence

2026-10 · Fictional: a walled residence in the old harbour quarter of Galmae-dong · Small-unit actions · Fictional situation

Your role

You command a special operations company of about 110: assault teams A (24), B (16) and C (20), a support team of observers and marksmen (14), a cordon team (22), plus engineer, medical and command sections. The opponent is the Grey group, a fictional armed organisation.

Higher commander's intent

Crisis committee's intent: talks come first. If they stall or the hostages are threatened, rescue them at the least possible risk. Afterwards the scene and the detainees go back to the police.

Situation

Enemy: an eleven-strong Grey armed group, three leaders among them, seized the walled residence during a donors' gathering and holds guests and staff. Assessed to have rifles and explosives. The police run the talks. Friendly: the company has its CP in a house north of the residence; the police command the scene and hold the outer cordon. Civil: the residence sits among the lived-in lanes of the old town. Protecting the hostages and residents is a constraint on every decision.

Mission

On the handover of control the company enters the walled residence, rescues the hostages, and on the end of the operation hands the scene and detainees to the police.
