Scenarios
The Hillside Raid 2026-06-12 · Fictional: Marugol, on the west slope of Noeulsan · Small-unit actions · Fictional situation
Terrain map Your role You lead 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon: nine soldiers on a hasty raid into a two-storey house in a hillside village to detain a Grey force cell leader. The situation is fictional; the Grey force is a fictional armed group without national markings. Residents still live in the village; they are to be protected and they constrain the operation.
Higher commander's intent Detain CROW before dark and cut the cell's leadership. Finish without harm to residents, and if higher orders the ground held, hold the alley and hand it over intact to the relieving unit.
Situation Enemy: a single report puts the Grey cell leader (codename CROW) and two guards (estimated) in a two-storey house halfway up Marugol (Objective PERSIMMON). Rumour has more armed men in empty houses in the upper village, unconfirmed. Friendly: 1st Squad blocks the two exits to the upper village (outer cordon); 3rd Squad is platoon reserve at the terminal on the lower road, with platoon HQ and one drone. Residents: people still live in the village and the elderly gather in the village hall by day; fifty metres round the hall is a no-fire area. Terrain and weather: a hillside village climbing from the lower road in the west to the upper village in the east; three alleys 1.5 to 3 metres wide, steps, low walls and linked roofs. Clear; sunset at 1940.
Mission 2nd Squad detains the Grey cell leader at Objective PERSIMMON before sunset on 12 June and hands him over to the platoon.
