October 25 update — adjudication on one page, a page for military schools, menu changes
How adjudication works, on one page
- The odds formula and factor weights, a worked example, how to read the roll screen, intelligence grades and the staff estimate, endings and branches, the duel results table, what scores, ratings and badges mean, what the model does not do, and the rules change log are now on one page: How adjudication works.
- It opens from the Train menu and from "How adjudication works" on the roll screen. The old Training & Adjudication article addresses forward to the matching section.
For academies and military schools
- The Education menu now starts with For academies: the web edition's Instructor Mode available today, and an institutional edition that runs on your own network without internet (pilot partners wanted), with a pilot proposal to download (PDF).
Menus
- "Battles" is now "Scenarios", since the list includes small-unit actions and fictional exercises as well as real battles.
- The beta sign-up page has closed. During the beta every scenario stays free, no sign-up needed.
